Step 2: List, create or link products in LitCommerce

This article will help you determine the next step in managing your products, including list, create and link them. It covers:

  • List products from the Main Store to the Sales Channel.

  • Import products from the Sales Channel to LitCommerce.

  • Create listings from the Sales Channel on the Main Store.

  • Link products between the Sales Channel and the Main Store.

Each listing on your Sale Channels must be linked to a matching product in the All Products section.

Once the Channel Settings are set up, the LitCommerce system can update price, quantity, and other product information for linked listing accurately.

Use Case 1: List products from your Main Store to your Sales Channel

Step 1: Add Draft listings from the All Products section to the Channel in LitCommerce

First of all, you will need to add a draft listing to the channel in LitCommerce. To begin, go to the All Products section on the sidebar menu.

After that, choose the products that you want to list and then select the action Add to Channel Drafts.

Then, simply check the box next to the desired Channel and click Add As Draft Now.

With certain Sales Channels, you have the option to choose between Quick Publish and Manual Publish. Feel free to select the one that is suitable for you.

Refer to this article for more details about the Quick Publish option.

Step 2: Edit Draft listings in the Channel in LitCommerce

Once your draft listings are ready, click the listing title to access the listing details page.

This page organizes the listing information into different tabs. Since each channel platform has unique requirements, make sure to fill out all mandatory fields (with red asterisks).

Step 3: Publish Draft listings to the Sales Channel

Once you have completed all the required information on the listing details page, choose one of the following options:

  • Save & Publish: Save and publish all your changes immediately on the Sales Channel.

  • Save & Close: Save your changes as a draft and exit the listing details page.

  • Save Changes: Save your changes and stay on the page to continue editing.

Use Case 2: Import products from Sales Channel to LitCommerce

Step 1: Import existing products from the Sales Channel to the Channel in LitCommerce

On the second use case, click Import From [Sales Channel].

In the Import Listing interface, you can apply a specific filter and click Begin Import.

LitCommerce automatically links a channel listing to its corresponding Main Store product based on the following criteria:

  • The channel listing and the Main Store product have the same Product Title (or SKU/UPC).

  • The channel listing and the Main Store product share the same product format (simple - simple, variant - variant). For Amazon, Walmart, and Reverb, a simple channel listing can also be linked to a Main Store product variation.

  • The Main Store product is not already linked to another listing from the same channel.

Choose one of the two processes below to proceed.

Create listings on your eCommerce platform

This process is for the unlinked listings (marked by the red link icon) that do not exist in your Main Store (eCommerce platform). Once the listings are imported successfully to the sales channel, follow these steps:

1

Select the listings.

2

Click the Select Action button.

3

Choose Create on Main Store.

Listings that are successfully created on the Main Store will display a blue dot on the link icon.

In the Importing Listing screen, the option Auto link products from these imported listings (if they exist in my catalog with the same SKU or UPC) is enabled by default. Choose No if you want to link them manually.

If the listings are unlinked to All Products (indicated by the red dot on the link icon), manually link them individually by following the steps below:

1

Hover over the link icon.

2

Click Link To A Product.

3

Find the corresponding product using the search box (use SKU or any keyword).

4

Tap Select.

After that, the link icon will turn blue, indicating that the listing is successfully linked to the product in All Products.

Additionally, once all of your channel listings have been linked, head to the Channel Settings to adjust the Sync options and save them.
