How to create Google Shopping templates & recipes

To create a new template, from your dashboard, navigate to Listing template and recipe > Listing Templates.

1. Category templates

Start by giving your LitCommerce’s template a nickname so you can easily find it when needed. If you choose the template as default, it will automatically be applied when you create new Google Shopping listings.

The ability to map your item-specifics in advance is one of the most powerful aspects of the Category template. You’ll find all of the item-specific information for the Primary Category you selected here.

When scrolling down the page, you will see the item specific area where LitCommerce maps the Google item fields to the correct product attributes in order to use product data in these fields.

These fields are compulsory that need to be filled by choosing an given attribute from the dropdown menu or by adding a value.

When you’ve done, just click Save to complete the process.

2. Pricing Templates

Pricing Templates lets you customize the pricing for all of your listings.

You can choose to increase or decrease the price by percent or a specific amount. Also, you can go with the override option to replace the current product’s price with a fixed one.

Note: You can use the Price Rules feature for currency conversion if you’re selling overseas. To convert the currency, go to and search for the current exchange rate from your Main store currency to the currency of your sales channel.

If the rate is greater than 1, then substract 1 from the rate and multiply the result by 100. Choose Increase in the first box.
If the rate is smaller than 1, then substract the rate from 1 and multiply the result by 100. Choose Decrease in the first box.

Enter the result in the Price Adjustment section and set the unit to Percent (%).

After that, hit Save to complete the pricing template.

3. Title & Description templates

First, fill in the template’s nickname and you can choose to use it as default as well.

Next, fill in the template for Title and Description that you want for your Google Shopping listings. You can insert listing attributes in the template, which will be in the form of placeholders and will be replaced by actual product data when creating listings. To insert an attribute, click on the box next to the Title or Description field, and select from the dropdown list.

For example:

Title: {{name}} by {{brand}}, Model number {{manufacturermodel_number}}_
Description: This product is {{ name }}, made by {{ brand }}, and it costs {{ price }}

Click Save when you are done and apply the template for your listings.

Next, give it a name, choose the template you like from the dropdown list, and click Save to complete. After that, you can freely apply the whole recipe to your listing from the central catalog.
