# How to list products on Etsy

Once the Main Store and the first Sales Channel are successfully set up, all products from your Main Store will be imported to the All Products section in LitCommerce.

This article provides a step-by-step guide to help you list your products from the All Products section to Etsy using LitCommerce. Further details can be found below.

## <mark style="color:$primary;">**Step 1: Add Draft listings to the Etsy channel from All Products**</mark>

To list on Etsy, you will need to add a Draft listing to the Etsy channel in LitCommerce.

Go to the All Products section on the sidebar menu.

Select the products you want to list, click `Select Action`, and choose `Add To Channel Drafts`.

Choose the Etsy channel and click `Add As Draft Now`.

**You can list the listings in bulk. The `Add All Products To Channel Drafts` feature is available for paid plan users to help speed up the process.**

## <mark style="color:$primary;">**Step 2: Edit Draft listings in the Etsy channel in LitCommerce**</mark>

After completing the first stage, your listings will appear under the Draft tab in the LitCommerce Etsy channel. Listings with missing information will be marked with the `Missing Info` status.

You can start filling in the required information by clicking on the title to open the listing details page.

The page consists of the following tabs.

* Vital Info.
* Images.
* Pricing/Variations.
* Category.
* Shipping.
* Digital Product.
* Personalization.

The data in the **Vital Info, Images, and Pricing/Variations** tabs is automatically imported from All Products. You must manually review these details and complete all other required fields to comply with Etsy's listing policies.

Required fields are marked with a red asterisk (\*).

Let’s go through each tab below.

### <mark style="color:$info;">**Vital Info**</mark>

This tab consists of two required fields: **Title** and **Description**, each displaying the corresponding data from your Main Store. You can edit both fields to customize the content specifically for Etsy.

**To help you easily set up the product description, LitCommerce offers the `Optimize Description For Etsy` feature for paid subscriptions. It utilizes AI (artificial intelligence) to generate content based on keywords.**

**Each generated description uses one credit. You receive credits equal to 10% of your available listing limit.**

**Etsy does not support HTML coding in listing descriptions. All HTML tags will be stripped when sending data to this marketplace.**

It populates these Etsy fields by mapping them to attributes from your Main Store.**

### <mark style="color:$info;">**Images**</mark>

This tab displays images retrieved from the corresponding Main Store product. Note that Etsy only allows up to 10 images per listing, and all images must meet [Etsy’s image requirements](https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015663347-Requirements-and-Best-Practices-for-Images-in-Your-Etsy-Shop?segment=selling).

Images cannot be added directly to the Images tab in LitCommerce. To update them, make the necessary changes in your Main Store and use the `Load Images From Main Store` button to reflect them in your Etsy listings.

**Simply drag and drop images in the Images tab to adjust their order. You can also remove the images by hovering over them and click `x` on the top-right corner.**

### <mark style="color:$info;">**Pricing/Variations**</mark>

#### <mark style="color:blue;">**Pricing**</mark>

This tab is only visible on simple listings. It contains two required fields: **Price** and **Quantity**, displaying the corresponding data from your Main Store and available for editing on item level.

Additionally, use the MSRP field to provide the manufacturer's suggested retail price of your item.

#### <mark style="color:blue;">**Variations**</mark>

This tab replaces the Pricing tab for variant listings. It displays each variation's SKU, attributes, price, and quantity.

You can delete unwanted variations from the listing by clicking the `Bin` icon. However, note that not all variations can be removed from the parent product in the LitCommerce Etsy channel.

**LitCommerce automatically update new variations from All Products to the LitCommerce Etsy channel for Draft listings.**

**For listings from other statuses, find the `Load Variants From Main Store` button to retrieve the latest variant structure from your Main Store to the corresponding Etsy listing. Ensure that the variant options are first updated in the LitCommerce All Products section for this to work.**

### <mark style="color:$info;">**Category**</mark>

The Category tab is essential during the listing process, as it helps provide buyers with key information about your items. Follow the steps below to proceed.

Search and select a Primary Category from the available options. This will show all relevant fields of that category.

Alternatively, you can browse from the list of Categories. Ensure you select an end-leaf category.

**If you have the Etsy category ID, enter it to the `Category ID:` box to automatically populate the category.**

Once the Primary Category is selected, complete the required attributes (marked by the red asterisk) that populate below. Optional attributes can also be added.

You can choose the Shop Section (imported from your Etsy store) when publishing on Etsy.

**Add tags for your listing (imported from All Products when available) to increase the listing's visibility on Etsy. LitCommerce will automatically adjust tags to meet the marketplace’s standards:**

* **Remove the last letters if a tag has more than 30 characters.**
* **Keep only the first 13 tags (if more are provided).**
* **Remove special symbols.**

### <mark style="color:$info;">**Shipping**</mark>

Select the [Shipping Profile](https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115014115187-How-to-Set-Up-Shipping-Information?segment=selling#h_03), [Processing Profile](https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015588087-How-to-Set-Processing-Times-Processing-Profiles-and-Ship-By-Dates?segment=selling), and [Return Policy](https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/7869401615255-How-do-I-Set-Return-Policies-on-My-Listings?segment=selling). You can add additional package weight and dimensions for clearer information.

**Shipping Profile, Processing Profile, and Return Policy must be set up directly in your Etsy Shop Manager. LitCommerce will then display them for selection.**

**The tool only applies the information specified in the Shipping tab/template to the listings, without creating any new Profiles/Policies on your Etsy store.**

**Click `Refresh` to reload the latest Shipping Profiles, Processing Profiles, and Return Policies.**

You can enable Digital status and upload the files to sell on Etsy.

If the listing allows customization, toggle on and enter specific instructions for buyers.

## <mark style="color:$primary;">**Step 3: Publish Draft listings on Etsy**</mark>

Once all the required information is completed on the listing details page, you can save and publish the listing on Etsy. Look at the bottom-right corner and click on one of the buttons below:

* **Save & Publish:** Save and publish all your changes immediately on Etsy.
* **Save & Close:** Save the changes as a draft on LitCommerce and exit the listing details page.
* **Save Changes:** Save the changes and stay on the page to continue editing.

To publish multiple listings at once, navigate to the Draft tab on the Etsy channel, select the listings, and then perform the action `Publish to Etsy`.

Once the listings are published successfully on Etsy, they will be transferred from the Draft to the Active tab.

**To resolve, open the listing details page, review the error messages, and make the necessary corrections before republishing.**

Besides, you can `Create Draft on Etsy` to review the listing before it goes live. It will be displayed under the Draft in Etsy tab in LitCommerce.
