# How to create Etsy Templates & Template Rules

To bulk edit multiple listings with similar attributes, you can create and apply Templates and Template Rules. This will automatically populate a predefined format of listing attributes.

This article walks you through creating Etsy Templates and Template Rules.

### <mark style="color:$info;">**Shipping & Return Template**</mark>

#### <mark style="color:blue;">**Shipping Profile, Processing Profile, and Return Policy**</mark>

Select the [Shipping Profile](https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115014115187-How-to-Set-Up-Shipping-Information?segment=selling#h_03), [Processing Profile](https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015588087-How-to-Set-Processing-Times-Processing-Profiles-and-Ship-By-Dates?segment=selling), and [Return Policy](https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/7869401615255-How-do-I-Set-Return-Policies-on-My-Listings?segment=selling) from your Etsy store.

**Shipping Profile, Processing Profile, and Return Policy must be set up directly in your Etsy Shop Manager. LitCommerce will then display them for selection.**

#### <mark style="color:blue;">**Weight And Dimension**</mark>

Choose the weight and dimension unit, then enter their values or select a Product Attribute from All Products to map.

**For the Shopify Main Store, you can use the `Auto assigned to Product Types` feature to automatically apply the template to new listings that match the corresponding Main Store Product Types.**

Select the following information for your listings.

* Who made it?
* What is it?
* When was it made?
* [Production Partners](https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000336547-Working-with-Production-Partners-on-Etsy?ref=seller-platform\&segment=selling)

#### <mark style="color:blue;">**Primary Category**</mark>

Enter relevant keywords to search for a Primary Category or browse from Etsy's available options.

**If you have the Etsy category ID, enter the value in the `Category ID:` box to automatically populate the category.**

#### <mark style="color:blue;">**Additional Details**</mark>

Once the Primary Category is selected, complete the additional information that populates below.

* **Shop Section:** Select a suitable Shop Section. They are created directly in your Etsy store admin.&#x20;

**Click the `Refresh` button to update the latest Shop Sections from Etsy to LitCommerce.**

* **Tags:** Add [tags](https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000336307-How-to-Use-Tags-to-Get-Found-in-Search?segment=selling) for your listings (imported from All Products if available).

**LitCommerce will automatically adjust tags to meet Etsy’s standards:**

* **Remove the last letters if a tag has more than 30 characters.**
* **Keep only the first 13 tags (if more are provided).**
* **Remove special symbols.**

**Click on `Use Tags from the Main Store` to automatically apply the tags from your Main Store if available.**

* **Product Attributes:** Enter values or select from Etsy's available options. Required fields are marked by the red asterisk (\*).

### <mark style="color:$info;">**Pricing Template**</mark>

Modify the listing price by selecting one of the following options:

* **Price Adjustment:** Follow the basic [Price Rules Options](https://litcommerce.gitbook.io/litcommerce-helpdesk/marketplace-integration/setup-and-navigation/step-by-step-setup/step-3-set-up-price-sync-options#price-rules). Click on `Add Adjustment` to add multiple calculations to the price.

**Use the `Price Preview` tool to review how the configured price rules take effect.**

* **Price override:** Manually select a Main Store Attribute from All Products or enter a numeric value to display.

**Etsy does not support HTML in Product Description. They will be stripped when pushing to Etsy.**

You can enter the instructions to the buyer regarding the listing customization in the Personalization Template.

* **Instructions for buyers:** Enter guidance for buyers on customization requirements.
* **Character limit for buyer response:** Set a maximum character limit for the personalization text.
* **Is Required:** Specify whether buyers must provide customization details.
