Amazon is a highly regulated marketplace with strict requirements for product listings. Sellers must provide detailed and accurate information to meet Amazon's guidelines and ensure their products are eligible for listing.

There are two cases in which you can publish listings on Amazon via LitCommerce:

* **Case 1:** List products using an existing ASIN from the Amazon catalog.
* **Case 2:** Create new ASINs with GTIN Exemption.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) is a unique ten-digit alphanumeric code that Amazon assigns to a product in its catalog. You can refer to** [**this article**](https://litcommerce.gitbook.io/litcommerce-helpdesk/marketplace-integration/supported-platforms/amazon/how-to-sell-on-amazon-with-litcommerce-product-identifiers-and-gtin-exemption#asin-amazon-standard-identification-number) **for more information.**
{% endhint %}

Review the case details below and select the most suitable case for you. For visual aids, refer to [Case 1](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSbLs4XTQdk) and [Case 2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfuFpmSlmEY) videos.

### <mark style="color:$info;">**Case 1: List products using an existing ASIN from the Amazon catalog**</mark>

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Go to the listing details page of the Draft listing.

<figure><img src="/files/ycyFBhYkIsjfNqpKAa0C" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Enter the Product Identifier (GTIN, UPC, EAN,...), keyword, SKU, etc. to find the corresponding ASINs using the LitCommerce ASIN Lookup tool on the Product Identifiers/Variations Identifiers tab.

<figure><img src="/files/TnwwOJQtOxoFAZkp59rA" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

After assigning the ASIN, visit other tabs (including Listing Details, Shipping, and Offer) to fill out the required fields. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk (\*).

<figure><img src="/files/mZGEwLhLTc7ouYeLeAIe" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="success" %}
**The SEO tab is not required, but is recommended. It helps optimize your listings' search visibility specifically for Amazon’s search algorithm.**
{% endhint %}

If you cannot locate an existing ASIN in the Amazon catalog, it means the product is not currently sold on Amazon and you will need to create a new listing. Refer to Case 2 below.

### <mark style="color:$info;">**Case 2: Create new ASINs with GTIN Exemption**</mark>

If your products are not yet listed in the Amazon catalog, and you are unable to locate existing ASINs, follow the steps below:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Apply for a GTIN Exemption from Amazon by visiting [this article](https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/external/G200426310).

{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Once approved, send a copy of the confirmation to LitCommerce and provide the approved Brand Name and Categories.

We will configure this information to your Amazon channel, and a corresponding badge will display next to the Channel name.

<figure><img src="/files/A1iancPz5c5xdy7bs0RH" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% endstep %}

The sections include:<br>

{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/rnsSQUBpRcTShwngNI6O" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You will need to map the exact Main Store attributes to the selected options from the Amazon Variant Theme. After choosing the options, use the Select Attribute field to match the corresponding Main Store variant attributes to each one.

Only options from the available Variant Theme list can be selected. They will vary depending on the Product Type.

<figure><img src="/files/Iih4kbsIfrugblOGBz6c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

For example, the Main Store product has two variant attributes: **Color** and **Size**.

<figure><img src="/files/UgnWvWa5OH5aD8eZGBpv" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The Variant Theme of choice can be **Color** and **Size**, which are then mapped to the placeholders **{{c.color}}** and **{{c.size}}**. See below for reference on the possible mapping.

<figure><img src="/files/2h7tNTNsVKjBdauduZc7" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="success" %}
**Variant Theme may not contain the exact attribute names as your Main Store. Select the options that best match your product variations.**
{% endhint %}

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Required Product Type Specifics</strong></summary>

Several required fields will be displayed automatically at the bottom of the listing details page once the Product Type is selected. Ensure you provide values for these fields as well.

<figure><img src="/files/E18Sugig91i50ELfPEAB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

<figure><img src="/files/o5HfOewElLvFMAbH0KZH" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## <mark style="color:$primary;">**Step 3: Publish Draft listings on Amazon**</mark>

Once you have completed all the required information on the listing details page, you can save and publish the listings on Amazon. Look at the bottom right corner and click on one of the buttons below:

* **Save & Publish:** Save and publish all your changes immediately on Amazon.
* **Save & Close:** Save the changes as a draft on LitCommerce and exit the listing details page.
* **Save Changes:** Save the changes and stay on the page to continue editing.

<figure><img src="/files/JEWh9x48UmM8N5ee5nZh" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="success" %}
**To publish multiple listings at once, simply navigate to the Draft tab on the Amazon channel, choose the listings, then select the action `Publish to Amazon`.**
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/WenSE16fziJrVYKSUj7J" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

After publishing your products to Amazon, if all information is **approved by the Amazon system**, your products will be moved to the Active tab.

<figure><img src="/files/ALv4ABqYh92jypGlQ4V1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Otherwise, Amazon will return an error indicating any incorrect or missing fields. **Make sure to fill in the required information and try publishing the listings again.**

Listing products on Amazon can be complex due to its stringent requirements. It might take some time to list your first product successfully. Once you can list the first product successfully, apply the same steps to your other listings.
