Templates

The steps to create a template are available HERE. This section explains each type of template used on Walmart.

Title & Description Template

The template consists of two main sections: Title and Description, each containing its respective placeholders: {{name}} and {{description}}

They retrieve the exact title and description data from your Main Store to populate the corresponding fields in your Walmart listings.

You can also use other attributes, such as Main Store fields and metafields, to add more information to your product title and description. Find them in the Select Attribute list.

If a Main Store attribute shares the same name as a supported default placeholder, the system will prioritize the attribute. To use the original placeholder, write the following format: {{product.field_name}}.

Applying the Title & Description Template to imported Walmart listings may overwrite both the title and description with Main Store data. To retain the existing Walmart title or description when using the template, input {{channel.name}} or {{channel.description}}.

Additionally, to give you more control over your product description, LitCommerce provides two toggleable editing modes: Rich Text Editor and HTML Editor.

Rich Text Editor

This mode allows you to create and format content visually, without needing to write HTML or CSS. It works like a simplified word processor built into the web interface.

The LitCommerce Rich Text Editor features a toolbar with formatting icons. Clicking an icon automatically applies the appropriate formatting to your content. You can also insert external media, such as images or videos, using the available options.

HTML Editor

Use this editor to work directly with HTML tags when creating structured product descriptions. It offers three view modes: Source Code, Code Preview, and Full Preview, to make editing and managing your content easier.

The Rich Text Editor only supports a limited set of HTML codes. Switching from the HTML Editor to the Rich Text Editor may remove unsupported codes.

Pricing Template

This template features two main options to modify and update price data:

  • Price Adjustment and Price Rounding: Follow the basic Price Rules Options. You can add multiple adjustments to modify your Walmart listings’ prices based on the Main Store products.

Use the Price Preview tool to review how the configured price rules take effect.

  • Price override: Manually select a Main Store Attribute from All Products or enter a numeric value to display.

Applying the Pricing Template will override the price rules in the Channel Settings.

Category Template

You can find the following main sections in this template.

Primary Category

Search using keywords and select a suitable category from the available list.

Once a category is selected, the Variant Attribute Names field will appear below it.

The Variant Attribute Names field is required for variant listings. It allows Walmart to establish parent-child product relationships in their system. If your items are simple listings, skip the Variant Attribute Names field.

You will need to map the exact Main Store attributes to the selected options from the Walmart Variant Attribute Names. After choosing the options, use the Select Attribute field to match the corresponding Main Store variant attributes to each one.

Only options from the available Variant Attribute Names list can be selected. They will vary depending on the Primary Category.

For example, the Main Store product has two variant attributes: Color and Size

The Variant Attribute Names of choice can be Color and Clothing Size. See below for reference on the possible mapping.

Walmart Variant Attribute Names may not contain the exact attribute names as your Main Store. Select the options that best match your product variations.

Required Fields

This section appears after you specify a Primary Category, containing all the necessary information you must provide for your listings.

Required fields are marked with the red asterisk (*).

You can enter fixed values in these fields to apply them to all listings using the template.

Alternatively, map them with the Main Store attributes using Select Attribute for auto-population of data.

Optional Fields

This section allows you to add supplementary information specific to the selected Primary Category.

Click Add More Fields to choose the fields that you want to include.

Shipping Template

This template lets you apply your shipping settings from Walmart Seller Center directly to your listings. It consists of the following:

Fulfillment Lag Time

This refers to the number of business days needed to process and pack an order before handing it over to a carrier. It can affect your shipping performance, listing visibility, and seller metrics.

Enter a suitable number in this field to specify the handling time.

The standard fulfillment lag time is 0-1 business day. However, Walmart allows sellers to request a category-based Lag Time Exemption, which extends the allowed processing time to 2 business days or more. Find more details on the process HERE.

Weight

You can provide your items’ weight using this section. Either enter a fixed value to apply across all listings using the template or use Select Attribute to map the corresponding Main Store attribute for automatic data entry.

Ensure that the corresponding weight unit is also selected.

Walmart Shipping Template

This section defines information related to the domestic and international shipping settings of your Walmart listings. Choose a suitable template for it.

Shipping Templates must be set up directly in your Walmart Seller Center before being selected in LitCommerce.

Walmart Seller Fulfillment

When fulfilling orders through your own fulfillment center, you can add seller-managed fulfillment centers in the Walmart Seller Center.

This section in LitCommerce includes Walmart Center and Walmart 3PL, which define information related to the entire fulfillment process of your Walmart listings. Choose a suitable option for each field.

Walmart Seller Fulfillment must be configured directly in your Walmart Seller Center before being selected in LitCommerce.

By default, LitCommerce does not import WFS (Walmart Fulfillment Services) and 3PL (Walmart 3PL - Third-Party Logistics) orders. Enable the corresponding order sync options in Channel Settings to manage them through the tool.

Recipe

The Walmart Recipes follow the same instructions as the Recipe.

By following these steps, you can create and manage the templates and recipes on the LitCommerce Walmart channel to help ensure your listings are completed and properly structured.
