eBay Messages: Communicate with your customers through LitCommerce

eBay provides a Messages feature for sellers and buyers to communicate. You can use it to answer product questions, share order updates, resolve concerns, and keep a record of conversations. This helps improve buyer experience and reduce potential disputes. More details on eBay Messages can be found HERE.

To help streamline buyer communication, LitCommerce now supports a built-in Messages feature for managing eBay messages directly within the app.

This article walks you through the eBay Messages feature in LitCommerce.

eBay Messages overview

The eBay Messages interface consists of two main panels:

Message list panel

The panel displays buyer conversations from your connected eBay channel. Each conversation shows the following:

Field
Description

Buyer name

Shows the eBay username of the buyer who sent the message.

Subject (or item title)

Shows the related product name for listing-related messages. This field is not shown for direct messages.

Received time

Shows the time of the latest message.

Message preview

It also includes a search bar for easily locating conversations using keywords.

Unread conversations are marked with a blue dot. LitCommerce will count the total number of unread conversations and display the number next to the Messages sub-section accordingly.
