What is a promotion on Google Merchant?

A promotion on Google Shopping is a special offer (such as a discount, free shipping, or a free gift) that appears directly on your shopping ads and free listings. It helps increase product appeal and encourages more buyers to complete their purchase. All promotions are applied at checkout or point of sale.

In your Google Merchant Center, Promotions is available as an add-on feature.

You must be eligible for Merchant Promotion add-ons. If not, contact Google Support for help enrolling in promotions. More details on eligibility requirements can be found HERE.

All Google Merchant accounts share the same basic quota limits on promotions. However, you can request Google for a quota increase.
