How to connect BigCommerce as the Main Store

This article outlines the instructions for connecting BigCommerce as the Main Store in LitCommerce. There are two available connection methods:


  • Method 1: Via LitCommerce 
  • Method 2: Via BigCommerce

Step 1: Select BigCommerce as the Main Store


If you do not have a LitCommerce account, sign up HERE. After that, select either of the following methods to proceed.


Method 1: Via LitCommerce


  1. Log in to your LitCommerce account. If this is your first setup, choose your desired LitCommerce app: Marketplace Integration or Feed Management.



  1. Locate BigCommerce and click Connect.



  1. Click Connect Your Account. 



Log in to your BigCommerce account if prompted, and you will then be redirected to the LitCommerce app on the BigCommerce App Marketplace.



Continue with Step 2 to complete the connection process.


Method 2: Via BigCommerce


  1. Log in to your BigCommerce Store Admin.



  1. Go to the App Marketplace under the Apps section and click Discover apps in the App Marketplace.



  1. Search for “LitCommerce” or use this link to reach the page.



  1. Select your desired LitCommerce app: Marketplace Integration or Feed Management.



  1. Click on the Get this app button.



  1. Choose one of the following options to proceed: “Existing BigCommerce store” or “New to BigCommerce”.



Log in to your BigCommerce account if prompted, then select the store you want to connect as the Main Store.


Registration on LitCommerce before connecting the Main Store is not required. The system will automatically create a LitCommerce account using the BigCommerce owner's email address and set this platform as the Main Store. An email with a random password will also be sent for future login sessions.


Step 2: Install the LitCommerce app on BigCommerce


  1. Click Install.



  1. Click Confirm to verify that you allow LitCommerce to access your BigCommerce store and associated data.



  1. Click here to open LitCommerce and find BigCommerce connected as a Main Store.





With the Main Store connected, you can now integrate your first Sales Channel.
