Glossary

Before getting into how to use LitCommerce, please ensure that you have read and understood all the terms used in this documentation. Here is the list of the terms you may encounter when using LitCommerce:

1Main StoreYour Main store will be the source when importing products and also the place to fulfill orders from all sales channels. Your Main store is the store built on an eCommerce platform that’s connected to LitCommerce right after you create an account.
2Sales ChannelSales channels are where you publish your listings to and “pull” orders from. Sales channels are integrated to LitCommerce after you connect your Main store.
3Central CatalogWhere all your products are stored on LitCommerce system after being imported from your Main store.
4SKUStock Keeping Unit gives your stock a unique ID so you easily keep track and effectively manage your inventory. SKU helps find matching products when you import products or listings from your Main store or sales channels.
5ProductsProducts are items available in your Central catalog. Each product contains information such as name, SKU, description, dimensions and images, etc.
6ListingsA listing is an item to be displayed on your sales channels. A listing is typically linked to a product, and contains the attributes of that product plus additional information required by the sales channel, such as price, shipping, title, description, etc.
7OfferFeatured Offers are offers for new products that sellers display on a product detail page with an Add to Cart button that customers can use to add items to their shopping carts. A key feature of the Amazon website is that multiple sellers can offer the same product. If more than one eligible seller offers a product, they may compete to become the Featured Offer for that product.
8TemplateA template is a set of options related to one of your listing attributes. Templates can be created for Shipping, Category, Price and Title, etc. depending on the sales channel's features
9RecipeA recipe is a collection of templates, consisting of several sections corresponding to different types of template. Each section can have one template assigned.
10LinkingEach listing on your marketplace channels must be linked to a matching product in your LitCommerce product catalog in order for the system to update price, quantity and other product informations accurately.
11ASINAmazon Standard Identification Number is a ten-digit alphanumeric code that identifies products on Amazon. It’s unique for each product and is assigned when you create a new product in Amazon’s catalog. Almost every product on Amazon has an ASIN with the exception of books. Getting this Amazon identifier for your products is necessary before you can sell them on Amazon.
12Single edit modeThe interface displays information for a single product. You can make adjustments to one product at a time in the edit interface.
13Multi edit modeUsing Quick Grid feature, you can make changes to multiple products at once on a single interface.
