Amazon Integration: What to Know Before You Start

This article outlines the limitations of our Amazon integration tool. While it can streamline your Amazon operations, being aware of its limitations will help you use it effectively and meet your business needs.

1. The Product Listing Process to Amazon

If you want to list products that do not yet have an ASIN on the Amazon catalog, you will need to apply for a GTIN exemption from Amazon to be able to list those products from LitCommerce.
For initial product listings utilizing a GTIN exemption through LitCommerce, users are required to access Amazon Central to retrieve the Product Type and Browser Node ID for the specific category. This information is only necessary to obtain once per category and can be applied to future listings within that category.
It is not possible to list Custom/Customized products or Handmade products to Amazon using LitCommerce.
Amazon is one of the marketplaces that has many prerequisites. During the listing process, users may encounter messages from Amazon regarding marketplace requirements. It's crucial to address and fulfill all the fields specified by Amazon. This will ensure that products can be successfully published on the marketplace.

2. The Syncing Process for the Amazon Channel

Inventory management for FBA products is not possible through any third-party integrations, including LitCommerce, because Amazon manages the stock of FBA products separately from the store's warehouse.
Due to API limitations, orders imported from Amazon will not include customer information.
Order statuses will not be updated from the Main Store to Amazon.
