# How to create Walmart Templates & Template Rules

To bulk edit multiple listings with similar attributes, you can create and apply Templates and Template Rules. This will automatically populate a predefined format of listing attributes.

This article walks you through creating Walmart Templates and Template Rules. More details can be found below.

## <mark style="color:$primary;">**Templates**</mark>

The steps to create a template are available [HERE](https://litcommerce.gitbook.io/litcommerce-helpdesk/marketplace-integration/app-features/templates-and-template-rules#templates). This section explains each type of template used on Walmart.

### <mark style="color:$info;">**Title & Description Template**</mark>

The template follows the LitCommerce Title & Description Template general structure. Check out [this article](https://litcommerce.gitbook.io/litcommerce-helpdesk/marketplace-integration/app-features/title-and-description-template) for more details.

### <mark style="color:$info;">**Pricing Template**</mark>

This template features two main options to modify and update price data:

* **Price Adjustment and Price Rounding:** Follow the basic [Price Rules Options](https://litcommerce.gitbook.io/litcommerce-helpdesk/marketplace-integration/setup-and-navigation/step-by-step-setup/step-3-set-up-price-sync-options#price-rules). You can add multiple adjustments to modify your Walmart listings’ prices based on the Main Store products.

{% hint style="success" %}
**Use the `Price Preview` tool to review how the configured price rules take effect.**
{% endhint %}

* **Price override:** Manually select a Main Store Attribute from All Products or enter a numeric value to display.

Additionally, enable the **MSRP** toggle to modify the manufacturer's suggested retail price. This feature also has two options: Price Adjustment & Price Rounding, and Price override.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Applying the Pricing Template will override the price rules in the** [**Channel Settings**](https://litcommerce.gitbook.io/litcommerce-helpdesk/marketplace-integration/supported-platforms/walmart/walmart-channel-settings#pricing)**.**
{% endhint %}

### <mark style="color:$info;">**Category Template**</mark>

You can find the following main sections in this template.

#### <mark style="color:blue;">**Primary Category**</mark>

Search using keywords and select a suitable category from the available list.

<figure><img src="/files/zkd4ZN9pIy5RndLn842f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Once a category is selected, the **Variant Attribute Names** field will appear below it. Refer [HERE](https://litcommerce.gitbook.io/litcommerce-helpdesk/marketplace-integration/supported-platforms/walmart/how-to-list-products-on-walmart#variant-attribute-names) for more details about Variant Attribute Names mapping.

{% hint style="info" %}
**The Variant Attribute Names field is required for variant listings. It allows Walmart to establish parent-child product relationships in their system.**&#x20;

**If your items are simple listings, skip the Variant Attribute Names field.**
{% endhint %}

#### <mark style="color:blue;">**Required Fields**</mark>

This section appears after you specify a Primary Category, containing all the necessary information you must provide for your listings.

Required fields are marked with the red asterisk (\*).

You can enter fixed values in these fields to apply them to all listings using the template.

Alternatively, map them with the Main Store attributes using `Select Attribute` for auto-population of data.

#### <mark style="color:blue;">**Optional Fields**</mark>

This section allows you to add supplementary information specific to the selected Primary Category.

### <mark style="color:$info;">**Shipping Template**</mark>

This template lets you apply your shipping settings from Walmart Seller Center directly to your listings. It consists of the following:

#### <mark style="color:blue;">**Fulfillment Lag Time**</mark>

This refers to the number of business days needed to process and pack an order before handing it over to a carrier. It can affect your shipping performance, listing visibility, and seller metrics.

Enter a suitable number in this field to specify the handling time.

<figure><img src="/files/qBwHzGDqKtjPG67CYRZD" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
**The standard fulfillment lag time is 0-1 business day. However, Walmart allows sellers to request a category-based Lag Time Exemption, which extends the allowed processing time to 2 business days or more. Find more details on the process** [**HERE**](https://supplierone.helpdocs.io/article/8hq9iay7ce-fulfillment-lag-time#request_lag_times)**.**
{% endhint %}

#### <mark style="color:blue;">**Weight**</mark>

You can provide your items’ weight using this section. Either enter a fixed value to apply across all listings using the template or use `Select Attribute` to map the corresponding Main Store attribute for automatic data entry.

<figure><img src="/files/wImbZiuEWUXIvjkQZrvn" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
**Ensure that the corresponding weight unit is also selected.**
{% endhint %}

#### <mark style="color:blue;">**Walmart Shipping Template**</mark>

This section defines information related to the domestic and international shipping settings of your Walmart listings. Choose a suitable template for it.

<figure><img src="/files/Gctd0KP1WiLa0mWDb6Zj" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
[**Shipping Templates**](https://marketplacelearn.walmart.com/guides/Shipping%20&%20fulfillment/Shipping%20Templates/Shipping-templates:-add-settings-manually?locale=en-US) **must be set up directly in your Walmart Seller Center before being selected in LitCommerce.**
{% endhint %}

#### <mark style="color:blue;">**Walmart Seller Fulfillment**</mark>

When fulfilling orders through your own fulfillment center, you can add seller-managed fulfillment centers in the Walmart Seller Center.

This section in LitCommerce includes **Walmart Center** and **Walmart 3PL**, which define information related to the entire fulfillment process of your Walmart listings. Choose a suitable option for each field.

<figure><img src="/files/D1rva6ggtteN0PRyONmw" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
[**Walmart Seller Fulfillment**](https://marketplacelearn.walmart.com/guides/Shipping%20&%20fulfillment/Fulfillment%20settings/add-a-seller-managed-fulfillment-center-in-seller-center?locale=en-US) **must be configured directly in your Walmart Seller Center before being selected in LitCommerce.**
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}
**By default, LitCommerce does not import WFS (Walmart Fulfillment Services) and 3PL (Walmart 3PL - Third-Party Logistics) orders. Enable the corresponding order sync options in Channel Settings to manage them through the tool.**
{% endhint %}

## <mark style="color:$primary;">**Template Rules**</mark>

The Walmart Template Rules follow the same instructions as the [Template Rule](https://litcommerce.gitbook.io/litcommerce-helpdesk/marketplace-integration/app-features/templates-and-template-rules#template-rules).

By following these steps, you can create and manage the templates and template rules on the LitCommerce Walmart channel to help ensure your listings are completed and properly structured.
