Feeds: Examples of Applying Rules

Set for All Items

One of the simplest rules, also one ot the most effective, is to ensure that a certain field has the same value for all your items. You can achieve this by creating a rule that assigns these values.
By selecting "All" in the If section, you automatically include all items. Additionally, by using "And" statements, you can apply multiple changes to a single item at once.

Remove unwanted items

If you want to avoid sending a specific set of items to a channel, you can simply create a rule that excludes these items from the feed. This is commonly done for products that offer low profit margins or are currently out of stock.

Free shipping above price X

If the data you imported lacks shipping prices but the export channel requires them, you can use rules to add this information. For example, if you offer free shipping for items priced over $10, you would create two rules: one to set the standard shipping price (see Set for all items) and another for items priced above $10.
Remember that rules are executed in sequence from top to bottom, so ensure you first establish the regular price for all items before applying the discounted price for a specific group of items.

Attach a phrase to the title

By using the "append value" operator, you can easily add any word or phrase to a field, like your title. This feature allows you to include terms such as "Discount" or brief details about your business.
